Baby Development
Your baby is now officially full term! All organs are mature and ready for life outside the womb. The baby continues to build fat to help regulate body temperature after birth. The chest is becoming more prominent. The baby's movements may feel different as there is less room, but they should still be active. South Africa Specific Info
Your baby is full term and could arrive any day. If your waters break, note the time, colour, and smell and head to the hospital. Clear fluid is normal; green or brown fluid (meconium staining) requires immediate medical attention. In SA, if you are in the public sector, go directly to the maternity unit at your designated hospital. Do not wait at home if you notice meconium-stained liquor.
